Onyx Gardenias
a multimedia rearrangment of the classic thelonius monk composition "round about midnite" with a new approach of poem/lyric/vocals and an unusal musical rerangment as well. it addresses the love affair between "lady day" and "the prez"...billy holiday and lester young.. i did the visual reedit from the original video from netherlands fine arts/video artist marian smit enitled 'the mars bar and grill" for which i organised the music score...dedicated to legendary jazz icon and educator jackie mclean...
