Drawing The Line

Looking back through the maze
Of decisions I've made
All the twists and the turns
As my heart's given way
I thought joy was aloof
Around the next bend
Where the grass was much greener
And the fun never ends

Now, never satisfied
This hunger inside
Wanting more, to be where
Success still abides
I stop and take notice
Looking left, looking right
In this haze of emotion
My tranquility took flight

Do I move in urgency
Seeking what's lost
Or settle for simplicity
No matter the cost
Will life be much better
A new house, a new name
Or is it all in the process
Of insanity's gain

Resolved, I take root
Allowing faith to take form
That no matter the place
Be it sunny or storm
I've become who I am
And all will be fine
I'm not done with the picture
I'm still drawing the line
