Virtually Yours

Turned on, logged in,
scanning the electropulse.

Synapse acuity keen,
firing in rhythm,
transforming comprehension.

Intermingling sentient
consciousness,
within the multitude
of exabyte's.

Rummaging for connections,
on information byways,
finding friends,
shared adventures,
companionship,
and love.

Virtual life,
forms an
exponential time sink,
chimerical but real.

Honor, loyalty, duty,
comrades of
sustained encounters.

All of it in,
bits, bytes,
kilobytes, terabytes,
and more.

Flesh grows pale,
bloodshot orbs,
survive the lucid screen,
even as the meat is rejected.

Soft wear to hardware,
hard wear to software.
Does not compute!

Times duration,
all being equal.
Enthralled allure
fades in repetition.

Eclectic electric,
magnetic resonance,
polarizes shifting priority.

Out of sight out of mind.
Like a mad poet,
striking genius on the,
umpteenth stanza.

Discerning analytical
cognizance moves on.

Abandoned bits like drifting sand,
compiling bytes upon beaches.
Digital waves compress,
erasing electronic footprints.

Gigs, teras, petas, exas,
deleted and reformatted.
Scattered cyber stardust,
processed soul's metamorphosis.

Glitters...
In gray matter mirrored reflections.
I will always be virtually yours.
