My Disease
A small-town tale about evil, corruption, closeted skeletons, trauma, madness and red skies.
The lovely and talented Jo from Australia sent me her movie 'Insanity or Suicide' to be used as the anchor piece in this montage. It can --and ought to-- be seen in its entirety, and is available at her Youtube channel, Sassenech2.
Speaking of Oz, my collaborator here, Paul Millington, is from West Perth. The CD for our group Razorwire n' Voodoo (CD: Desert Run) can be found at CD Baby. I did the vocals and lyrics. Paul did the music and the mixing.
My Disease (by P. Millington/N. Ball)
Polly made the face on the clock-tower cry.
'My brother's keeper' for an alibi.
Where were the angels when the Watchers fell?
Circling wagons at the gates of Hell.
Pale drawn legs in the city square.
Wishbone limbs on a final tear.
God and his deacons took a holiday.
Women disappear here every day.
Devil spent the night inside her head.
Polly couldn't run so she split instead.
I was a witness but they cut my scene.
Sherrif got his gun on my disease.
Cooler heads greased a doctor's palm.
Stiff white jackets and a scary calm.
Stacked like wood at the edge of town.
Ask her a question, you won't get a sound.
I'm gonna scream when you turn away.
I'm gonna curse when you wanna pray.
I'm gonna hurt at the things you say.
I'm gonna whistle by your grave.
I'm gonna cry at the break of day.
I'm gonna scream when you turn away.
I can hear you
But I can't save you.
I can see you
But I can't reach you.
(Repeat Twice...)
