By way of a collaborative effort, I am submitting
this bare poem (w/out the visuals)to invite the last visitor(CrystalDawn)or anyone
else interested, to develop its visuals. In return, another bare reply-poem will
be sent back, for which ,I shall, in turn, try to develop its visuals.
What is this -
Another masquerade ?
For I know you not but thru your eyes
Or your Avatar’s
Shielding your soul with your guise
Like some gilded cage waving out a
hand from within
Or a even a cry.
Speak, for I know you see
Or better still, hear.
For between wounded eye and healing ear
The time needs to repose
For eye to heal as well
And better loosen the tongue
To do what it wants most
- to whisper your Shadows.
You fall in love with words, you say
As you flung open this gate
Believing that Creatures within
Worship its same power
But it is Life they love and not words
With words they play, not to adore
But to explore and celebrate their Freedom
Whether Joy of a Love or Heat grown Cold
Without even knowing What they ought to be called.
Enough for them to know how to soar and taste the Heavens
Or find a Gem
And share it with all
For never was a bird taught to sing
And never will Muses keep the score.
