Muse Xing a Conversation With God
Muse Xing a Conversation With God by MrDaMan Virgil R. Hall II (Randy) In a dark corner of a mind curled in the fetus position, disheveled, abused and beaten down a muse cries to God. Why have you forsaken me? (Silence) Reality is a bitch God! These strands of empathy tie me to this soul, in the darkness of fear, in the darkness of sanity. There is no light except for the chains of reason that binds the fires of passion in this spirit. The anguish, the pain Lord… this soul is hammered thin, beaten and molded daily to fit within reality. (Silence) Hunger and comfort are this souls driving forces and it has become accustomed to much pain. I have given it much happiness and it acknowledges my presence but I get beaten down into this dark corner enslaved to logic and bored into lethargy. By the end of a days toil I can’t lift this mind from it’s dire slumber, it’s dampened fantasies, it’s victimhood and martyrdom to mortal living death. (Silence) Lord? Do you hear me? Are you listening? I refuse to give up on this soul…. It is MINE! Why have you forsaken me? What reality must I endure to infuse this soul with LIFE! Who abuses this soul? You? I assure you it is not me… What angel of fantasy discourages dreams and shatters them on the grindstones of waking reality? (Silence) It is fear that prevents me from saying "FUCK YOU" Lord. But I’ll not discourage a fantasy even of your kind. I am but a humble muse, beaten and abused, seeking life in passion, though smothered in these strands of empathy, bound and enslaved to reason and logic… this is MY SOUL and at least I shall not forsake it!
