Boundaries
Boundaries by MrDaMan Virgil R. Hall II (Randy) Let me coral my thoughts… cowboy up and lasso my imagination brand it with the heat of my soul and let it go. I’m all fenced in, surrounded by brambles and thorns, within a fantasy of my own creation. A slave to the boundaries of perception and whipped constantly by the master of reality. If words could speak I would be numb and deaf from the roar of confusion. I heard some words today leaking through the boundaries of brambles and thorns that time can be bent. Time is a river that flows omnidirectional with eddies and whirlpools of yesterdays and tomorrow’s and it’s all happening today! I stand here transfixed, gawking and going… HUH! Ten thousand poets stand on the headstone, over the bones of Jim Morrison, and stare at the other side… his spirit beckons… come on through… the graveyard is littered with Bukowski’s bottles and Ginsburg’s Howl screams unrequited desires moaning in the winds torn on the edges of marble mausoleums. Encouraged I crack the thunder of my muse and stampede the brambles, the thorns, the boundary of my fantasy and suffer the cuts and bruises of reality. I push and bleed, I burn my spirit and seize the moment, I go nuclear and my light is greeted with darkness… the unknown seethes with fear and hope. The boundary! The other side!… It falls away again. Breathless and exhilarated I too fall back upon the cushion of my restless sleep, my awakened and now scattered dreams. Let me coral my thoughts… cowboy up and lasso my imagination brand it with the heat of my soul and let it go. View All Comments Comments (0)
