Have you noticed how—

I always close my eyes at night
Even when the light is on
When I take you in my arms
I want to sense the slick of skin
Scenting the flesh natural
And nude of pretenses perfuming
Essences. I do this to have
You in your fullness devoid of
Symmetry and perspectives
Vantage points minus lines
Configuring beauty’s visage of
That which is so apparent and yet
I wish to go beyond, and
That it is why in the stark of
Night where everything is blind and
I see with my hands, touch with
My breath, taste with my want
The you that is real and true and
It is there that I experience what even
You are unaware of when we’re
Bound for the melding of our core
Making deep infernal love with soul
