The Chess---
I love the aroma wafting from the kitchen in the
Dawning summer’s warmth
Brewing the first batch of coffee and I crave
And salivate like the Pavlov perfectly
Experimented dog, shimmer on your lip gloss
Sipping hot from the cup and leaving
Soft its simmer smear o’er the ivory rim
The imprint kissed with crazed
Bliss that you’ve just so lovingly dismissed
The morning stiffness
Before its douse then afterward I flirt with
The pooling tenderness of your gaze stirring
Gently my a-huh, it’s all good babe
In the rippling pond of us, and I’m assured
The evolving hours will spread out moments
Full of holding cradling hugging wanting
The afternoon dissipation into the
Evening anticipation donning sheer its
Gowning naked night the must of us
Where in the silence of the dark
You look at me in your all knowing eyes the
Vulnerability of my hidden things
Within the well I’ve bolstered, mortared in
Cement possessions manly gear I protect since
The time in a while worth a dime
I went from dreamer waned and in a glittering
Glance shattered learned the fool’s folly of surrender
In glass pieces after a loving scattered
My effects I’ve since glued together,
But than I’ve also learned to give to take a little,
Let you peek a little peek let you think
You have it all and so you’ll leach on to me
As I enter you feel the comfort of your earth
And you enjoy the strength of womb life giving
Exhilaration of all damnation and the game
We play back and forth the pieces move
Strategically you offer me the queen as ploy
To kill my king as the hours grow wildling and wind out
I heave a breath weaving round your sigh
And on your velvet cushion my pearl I lay
Off-white as our translucent back and forth becomes a draw
