A state of the art. 8) Dear fellow artists, I have something to say, On the subject of art, That we watch every day. People who call themselves Poets and artists, Passing stuff off, So to sell in the market. Long in the past, Before you were born, The artists had standards, Of which we've been torn. Entertainment is boss, There's no place for reason, And art is reduced, To a card for a season. Would Dante, or Shelley, Or Keats, or Dunbar, Watch what folks make, And give them five stars? I can picture them sitting, And watching with horror, Videos with random Noise and color. Or saying some words, In no particular order, That's like making brick walls, Without any mortar! Take a small clue, If you're going to post here, Start with your mind, And have an idea. Even if you think, It will cause you some pain, Please give us a reason, To turn on our brain.
