until we have taken

it all the way down to
the end and stayed in the
vessel, faced the true change
in ourselves, and reached deep

anguishing repentance
because these personal
scenes of trauma do not
necessarily add

up to a great reward
in heaven along the
path with a bomb or a
song and a dance because

your vision of romance
won’t really carry you
the rest of the way home.
You believe too much in

Bollywood to see the
harshness of the fact that
after the credits are
finally over - when

you’ve become too old - your
precious children still will
continue to be bought,
savagely used, and sold.
