Lighten up Francis
world weary fool
the oceans are filled
with the salty tears
of mankind

Place one word
in front of another
and the questions
will pile up as
Islands

Skipping stones
answers to some
but the weight of
all seriousness
drowns ripples
within ripples
within ripples

Float empathy
and surf the tides
of wonder
enjoy the shadows
of the day
and the glow
of night auras

Too often
lost is the
sight of land
the bearing of
the soul
in seeking

Speak to kindness
and listen to
loves roar
surrender to the
seduction of
happiness

It’s okay
to cry
there is still
one third
of the Earth
to cover
