Tick Tick Tock
Tick, Tick, Tock by MrDaMan Virgil R. Hall II (Randy) It’s been a hell of a year shall we grieve for the moments lost or celebrate the tick, tick, tock… The clock that bangs relentlessly… Shifting the sands of time via the winds of change… Is it the dunes of doom or the beaches of hope? Drifting mortality… Tick, tick, tock, Horizon after horizon midnight to high noon… Cold souls and high spirits… Low lives and warm hearts… Expectations ground and sifted between ambitious fingers… Tic, tick, tock, the rock… hardened life softened by time… Granule by granule mountains of sand grate upon each other… The bones of our ancestors, yesterday’s sand in our craw embracing us with what’s left of theirs… Soothing and polishing an expanse from there to here… And we dream of a shiny, bright new tomorrow, smooth skinned pebbles… Rolling against the tide and with the swell of humanity, you can hear the roar… Tick, tick, tock, the clock… the rock… the tick, tick, tock.
