I try to keep the whining to
a minimum when I write a

poem but that’s impossible at
least in the first draft or so I

go to work editing just as
many pathetic parts out as

I know how from its curly blond
head to its tiny pink toes and

yet the High Chair Tyrant lives on –
a little piece I loathe to show.
