Shutdown sequence initiated
the countdown has begun
all my thoughts abbreviated
computed zero to one.

Now I lay my brain to sleep
and encourage my soul to wake.
Take up quantum activity
and live in what I create.

Forgo the weight of gravity
and the denseness of the Sun.
Trade the thick of necessity
for just a little bit of fun.

Cry to the winds of havoc
and kick the devil around
surrender to the beating drums
to the music and the sound.

Lift on tides of ecstasy
and float on angels wings
immerse my love in fantasy
and become the notes we sing.

I’m not at the destination
don’t give a damn if I arrive.
Just lose myself in the moment
every tingling nerve alive.

Hooray, hello I’m a sunbeam
winking through the night
traveling the space between
behind, before your very sight.

Across the infinite nothing
everything you’ll ever know
a dust mote on a mission
a God putting on a show.

A dance of pulsating molecules
of galaxy’s spanning time.
A black hole swallowing universe’s
obscuring reason for the rhyme.

The intitating countdown sequence
tick, tock it has now begun.
Settle back now into your soul
and enjoy the zero to one.
