I walk down William James street or
rather I shuffle staring at

my feet down my very own beat
when I bump into a neighbor

stranger than me IDEA so
fierce I am forced to swallow it

whole and digest the thing slowly
intensely full this plate filling

the yearning of a desperate beast
or at least one man among the

forgotten meek. I pray sometimes
for moderation in diet

and the ability to cheat
a cranky mentality “So,

what do you expect me to THINK?”
Oh, how I wish you’d leave me be!

while other times I work off the
supernal feast twisting in a

fit above the ground beneath “Now,
say what shall I DO about it?”
