The Fate of Depravity

A reading of an original poem by myself. Bodies lay lifeless but he doesn't care. People are screaming, in the depths of despair. The man is smiling; he knows what hes done. At the expense of some thousands, hes had his fun. Some call him evil, some say depraved. But in the eyes of a few, hes strong and hes brave. Judge not his actions, but look in his heart. Out of the ending, he has brought a new start. Look at them staring, they think that they know. Theyre hiding the evil, that this wicked man shows. How could he do it? Its just so unfair. Kill all those people and not even care. The people start shouting; Kill him we must! An eye for an eye, now that is whats just. They ignore their own problems and pass judgment on him. Isnt it funny? How we forget our own sins. Here comes the death now, the smell is so strong. Blurring the line, of whats right and wrong. Evil breads evil, the good is no more. All of our morals, go right out the door. As the hour draws closer, the man has a choice. Give into reason, or follow the voice. The decision is made now, the man grabs a gun. He blows out his brain and now it is done.

Bjorks Stalker - Thats Why I Chose You

We had a song that felt like a soundtrack for Ricardo Lopez' life --and death. I'm an artist, not a stalker of serial killers or a bandleader for unfocused acts of random violence. I see a lost soul fastening onto a celebrity-mirage, that's all. Just a tiny vacuum seeking out a larger vacuum.

My final sentiment is, Ricardo, may you find peace on the other side. I don't know how anyone could wish anything less.
